Changing your subdomain, region or company name
These three things are immutable post-signup. Here's how to change them via support.
Three pieces of your account are fixed after signup because changing them isn't free of consequence:
- Subdomain — changing it would break any embed codes already live on customer websites
- Region — changes which calculators are available, default tax/lending rules, currency formatting
- Company name — used in branding fallbacks; changing it affects every embed without a logo
If you need to change any of these, email hello@calcwidgets.com with what you want changed and we'll handle it manually within one business day.
Subdomain changes
Tell us:
- Your current subdomain
- Your desired new subdomain
- Whether you've already shared embeds with anyone (so we know if we need to coordinate)
We'll:
- Check the new subdomain isn't taken
- Update the subdomain on your account
- Optionally set up a redirect from the old subdomain to the new one for some grace period (useful if you've already given clients the old URL)
Region changes
Tell us:
- Your new region (AU / NZ / US)
- Whether you want your existing branding kept (yes, that's the default)
We'll:
- Switch your region
- Refresh your calculator list with the new region's catalogue
- Reset any region-dependent defaults (currency, tax brackets, lending rules)
Your branding (colours, logo, CTA) is unaffected.
Company name changes
Tell us:
- Your new company name
We'll update it and confirm. Quick one.
Anything else self-serve
Everything else — colours, logo, CTA, calculators, layout, default platform, NZ DTI settings — you can change yourself on the dashboard, no support email needed. If you can't find the setting you want, the dashboard tour walks through every section.
